Due to the recent military operations in Ukraine, one of the requirements for successfully crossing the border is to have a paid hotel reservation for the entire duration of your stay in Russia. According to paragraph 6 of Article 27 of the Federal Law "On the Procedure for Leaving the Russian Federation and Entering the Russian Federation" dated 15.08.1996 No. 114-FZ (as amended by 357-FZ from 14.07.2022), the entry of a foreign citizen or stateless person into the Russian Federation is prohibited if they fail to provide evidence of sufficient funds to cover their stay and subsequent departure from Russia, or if they are unable to present guarantees for such financial support as established by the authorized federal executive body.
